NEW DELHI: For the upliftment of the little-known Koch community, which is spread across small parts of West Bengal and northeast India, IRS officer Atul Kumar Pandey has initiated several projects and programmes, including renovation of a school and establishment of a library.
The Koch are an aboriginal tribe located in northeast India and had a powerful state in the Brahmaputra valley during the early 16th century.
